PAN GROUP – increase of turnover by 25 % and investments of more than 2 million euros in 2008

Craiova, 12 June 2008 - S.C. PAN GROUP SA, one of the major players in the Romanian market of milling and baking, has realized in the last five months of 2008 major investments in the technology of production of over 2 million euros.
The turnover of the PAN GROUP company witnessed an increase of 25% higher in the first five months of 2008 compared with the same period of 2007, meaning an increase of over 2 million euros. This increase is due to marketing activities and integrated sales, along with commercial policies based on gaining and maintaining the market quotas, but remaining within the normal limits of the competitive behavior and a legitimate competition.
The partnership with Kraft Foods, one of the largest food and beverage in the world, has led to a shared investment of over 1.35 million in modern technology to produce packed cookies. The manufacturing line is equipped with cooling tunnels, machines Tecno Pack, Nielsen brand machines, ultrasonic knife cutting that allows a perfect cut of the base and higher preservation percentage of aired cream in the cake, systems for detecting the appearance of foreign bodies control in the finished product, installation of air conditioning that provides optimal parameters in the technological flux.
"The skills of production and orientation towards the marketing research is a big plus for our company that knew how to adapt easily to the new trends from the FMCG market, and the feedback we get from the consumers is positive, a fact that confirms us once more that we were able to build strong brands and constant from the point of view of quality", says Florin Busuioc, general manager of the company.
Buying the bread oven with mobile hearth worth 400,000 euros, plus eight vehicles for distribution in total amount of 250,000 euros are other points realized from the program of investments implemented for the first half of the year 2008.
This first purchase completes the number of five such ovens producing PAN GROUP bread.
The company is the sole producer of bakery products in Dolj who invested in this type of equipment needed to ensure a uniform baking degree of the bread, marketing aspect, good taste and flavor.
The production based on these six ovens with mobile hearth increased visibly the consumers’ request for the PAN GROUP bread, being appreciated for the unique and high quality.

Craiova, 30 September 2008 - S.C. PAN GROUP SA, the largest milling and baking company from the South-West of Romania and local leader in this segment has realized the most important rebranding of this year.
From 1 July 2008, the PAN GROUP Bread Factory, "Extras freshness", is the new look through which the company communicates locally. The well-known brand "PAN GROUP bread" with the slogan "Our bread" has been improved, bringing to it a plus of ellegance through new colors, attractive image and extra freshness. The new image is animated by a uniform and suggestive layout, and the predominant color is red.
With this rebranding, PAN GROUP not only changes its image locally, but supports its positioning on the market; thus, through the developed activities, PAN GROUP positions as a reliable, stable company, with the priority of getting involved in cultural activities and help disadvantaged people.
"At the local level, PAN GROUP is known for years as a bread factory. Thus, through the new brand, we come closer to our consumers, not only by name but alsothrough an entire series of investments that had the role to improve the quality of products and services. Under the new brand PAN GROUP Bread Factory there have already been launched, in mid-September, a series of new products:
- Terra bread with seeds
It ensures an intake of fibers and Omega 3, and it is also a supplement of vitamins. The new type of bread is indicated within a rational regime of alimentation, in order to prevent digestive disorders and chronic degenerative diseases. The seed bread is sold in 450 g and rolls of 80 g.
The new product was launched at a promotional price, and we estimate that we will reach a total of over 150 customers in the city of Craiova.
- 3 types of cake: with turkish delight, raisins and cocoa that have an unic taste similar with those made at home. These sorts are sold packed at 300 g.

Craiova, 16 June 2008 – The campaign "Give with good taste" initiated by PAN GROUP in late April 2008, continues with another activity that is helping helpless children, who are in difficulty. Based on the sponsorship contract signed between PAN GROUP and the Vasiliada Association, the company offers during the period from May 19 to July 19, the daily necessary of bread for the children from the shelter of the Social Center "Romano – Kher", from the locality Lipovu.
PAN GROUP, through the commercial center of the town Segarcea, makes available each day for the members of the Vasiliada Association the bread that will be delivered on the table of each child, bringing them beside a consistent sense meal also the feeling of care, protection. With support given, the company PAN GROUP helps the people who do not benefit from the aid and the efforts of their families, sometimes being marginalized by their fellows.
"We are put in front of situations in which we confront ourselves with the vicissitudes of everyday life, in which some innocent souls suffer and have been forgotten by those who should be close to them, and their suffering should not leave us indifferent, but push us to help them, helping them and giving them the feeling that they are people like everybody else", said Florin Busuioc, the general manager of Pan Group.

The campaign started with the holy Easter holidays, providing food products for orphan children and elders from asylums, and will develop during the entire year. The caravan Pan Group will stop at orphanage, elders’ asylum, and to persons with physical and mental disabilities.
The Vasiliada Association is an organization of Christian and social character, non-governmental, democratic, non-profit and apolitical, founded under the patronage of Oltenia Metropolitan Seat.
